Nasfund members urged to use discount

NASFUND members have been encouraged to use the discount packages offered by organisations and businesses.
Some representatives of Nasfund partners attended an employer conference in Port Moresby last Thursday to talk to members on the packages they had with the fund.
“These establishments are partners with Nasfund and they offer discounts for their various services and products,” Nasfund chief executive officer Ian Tarutia told the conference.
According to Nasund, the membership discount programme would allow members to obtain a discount on goods and services in selected stores and service providers throughout the country.
The programme means savings off normal retail prices.
Some of the partners at the conference included Air Niugini, Brian Bell, Sed Optical, Solar Solutions PNG and Nesian Beauty.
The discounts range between 5 per cent and 25 per cent as per arrangements between the respective partners.
Members will present their membership cards at any selected retailers and service providers to get a discount on the purchase price.
Brian Bell group marketing manager Bill Neill said the company had just renewed its partnership with Nasfund.
“We’ve been giving our customers who are Nasfund members a 10 per cent discount. It works very well,” he said.
“Given Papua New Guinea’s high cost of living, we are trying to provide our customers who are Nasfund members a way to go around.
“The 10 per cent works well, we are getting a lot of interests from that. We have our own discount structures but we have an easy way for customers to benefit from us.”
