NCD volleyball into finals

Sports

THE NCD Volleyball Association will proceed into its minor and major semifinals tomorrow at the Taurama Aquatic and Indoor Stadium.
In the men’s premier divison, minor premiers Scorpions take on new team Lavukoloa from Gereka. Team chemistry and experience in finals gives reigning premiers, Scorpions the edge.
The winner will march into the grand final while the loser will fight it out with the winner of the Ela MotorsJamas match for the other spot in the grand final next Saturday.
In the women’s premier major semi-final, Scorpions will be up against defending champions Telikom.
Telikom have arguably the best players in the competition and have lost only one game this season to U-Mi Yet, therefore, they should start as favorites to win this match.
The winner of this games will stand by in the big one while losers play the winner of U-Mi Yet and Jamas next weekend’s sudden-death preliminary final.
Jamas will face Lavukoloa in the men’s A grade major semifinal.
Jamas have led all the way throughout the season therefore, should win this clash and march into the grand final while the losers go up against the winner of Scorpions and Ela Motors in the preliminary do-or-die-match.
U-Mi Yet will play Telikom in the women’s A grade major semifinal. Again the winners book the first grand final berth, while they losers face the winner of Scorpions and Jamas in their sudden-death match
