THE National Capital District Football Association (NCDFA) will start its pre-season on Sept 9 at the Sir John Guise Stadium.
In a meeting with club delegates, the association executives advised they expected a short competition starting with the pre-season.
NCDFA president Vonnie Kapi Natto told the meeting that it was  on a first come, first-serve basis so those wishing to take part needed to register early.
She also reminded the club of the name change from NCDPSSA (National Capital District Public Servants Soccer Association) to NCD Football Association.
“I have so far received 20 expressions of interest from clubs including old and new, so we will announce the composition of the competition this week,” she said.
“We might not have the division one while the focus will be on junior and youth divisions including the A-League.
“The lower the number of team, the better the season would be. We want to finish all the matches before December.”  Kapi Natto, with secretary Paul Isorua and vice-president Justus Babao, acknowledged the presence of the association patron and her husband, John, who had been supportive with administration work and securing sponsorship for the association.
John Kapi Natto informed the meeting that he had secured the field next to the hockey venue and also about the way forward for the Football Federation of (FFPNG) which he is leading.
