NCSL members’ access made easier

Business

THE Nasfund Contributors Savings and Loans Society Limited has introduced the new biometric identification services (BIS) for members to access services faster with just a press of a thumb.
General manager Vari Lahui told The National that they had touch-screen devices installed in their branches for members to access their account details and conduct transactions.
“So for those of our members that are already registered, they can go and press their finger on the reader/scanner and they should be able to access their account,” he said.
The system would allow members to see their account balance information, request for a statement and they could also initiate a withdrawal application.
Lahui said the BIS system was introduced to assist the online members and employer portals introduced earlier.
“With this online portal, members can access to initiate their withdrawal, loan applications or request for members’ statements without the assistance of our staff,” Lahui said.
He said the other service, the online portal, could be downloaded as a phone application and be accessed on smart phones.
Lahui said for those who did not have smart phones, NCSL had installed two computers in their branches to allow members to access the online services.
