New Madang NDB unit

 THE National Development Bank will open its new branch in Madang on Thursday.

Prime Minister Peter O’Neill would officiate at the ceremony, the bank said.

The building, located in the heart of Madang’s central business district, will house NDB’s lending section and the people’s micro bank, which is a fully-owned subsidiary of NDB that provides micro banking services including passbook savings accounts”. 

“The people of Madang will benefit from these services comprising a range of loan products, NDB said.

These include credit schemes from sponsors such as the Tourism Promotion Authority (TPA) and the National Fisheries Authority (NFA), women in business loans, commercial loans, agriculture loans and microfinance loans.

The opening ceremony would be held at the Bates Oval to give Madang residents the opportunity to observe the proceedings.
