NOMINATIONS for this year’s Pacific MMI Port Moresby Handicap snooker challenge are now open.
The National is the tournament’s platinum sponsor.
Port Moresby Billiards and Snooker association president John Chan said the nomination fee was K200 and a K50 discount would apply if paid before the 8pm deadline on Oct 24.
“It will be on a first come, first serve basis,” Chan said.
“We are expecting 64 players, including women, to take part.”
He said a briefing would be held at the Q Club, Waigani, on Wednesday at 5pm and the matches would cue off the next day.
The finals would be held on Nov 6 at the Q Club.
Nomination forms are available at the Aviat Club and Q Club.
The tournament director is Danny Earls and he will be assisted by Gamu Miria, Ida Keni and Malcolm Currie.
Chan extended his appreciation to Pacific MMI for their continued support, platinum sponsor The National and gold sponsors Plumbers and Builders Supplies and Graffiti Signs.
He said the various categories of sponsorship were still open and those companies who were interested in supporting the event could contact him, vice-president Stewart Nikints (76719529) or Joe Chan (72203837) at Q club.
