NORTHERN Confederate development officer David Atua has called on the all Northern Confederate rugby league affiliates to attend a special meeting in Lae this month.
Atua told The National that the special committee meeting was important and all league presidents were requested to attend.
The meeting is schedule for Sept 15 which is before the start of the senior men’s and Under-20 National Zones Championships that will run from Sept 16-18.
“This meeting is very important and all league presidents must make an attempt to attend,” Atua said.
He said the change of dates for the National Zones championships scheduled for this weekend was due to the grandfinal of the Digicel Cup on Saturday between Lae Tigers and Agmark Gurias as well as the PNG Hunters Q-Cup major semifinal against the Redcliffe Dolphins on Sunday.
Atua meanwhile called on the selected Northern Confederate senior men’s and U20 players to make their way into Lae.
He said the players needed to report to him on Sunday to be given their training schedules and other information in preparation for the championship.
