Okapa needs qualified leaders

FOR many years, the people of Okapa in Eastern Highlands have been voting for MPs without proper qualifications, experience or competency to represent them in parliament.
Politics in the modern day is different from what it used to be in the past, some 15 to 20 years ago.
Today we need people who are qualified and experienced to fully understand the complexities of the government systems and procedures so that they can enable services to reach the people.
Okapa is in a ruined stage at this point in time, thus it needs people with experience to rescue it from collapse.
We the people of Okapa need political scientists, economists, lawyers and accountants who have the experience to lead the district and drive the development agendas of the district.
It’s very regrettable that the people have already spoken through the ballot papers and elected a leader whom they think is capable of running the affairs of the district.
The decision has been made and we will live with the consequences of that for the next five years.
