Two Port Moresby Nature Park staff have received their diplomas from the International Training Institute.
Guest relations team leader Grace Giaruva and life sciences manager Ishimu Bebe studied human resource management and management respectively.
Bebe took up the course to enhance his skills at the park.
He said: “I found it very beneficial to my work because it helped me understand that there are different levels of comprehension within our organisation and therefore different ways to approach an issue.
“As managers or team leaders, it is our responsibility to bridge the gap between staff and the management so that expectations for both parties are met.
“Teamwork is essential in any organisation.”
Giaruva took the course to better understand human resource policies and how each department within an organisation contributes to its overall success.
Next year, she will return to the institute to study management.
The park said it was committed to capacity building and up-skilling its staff.
It covered the transportation component and 50 per cent of the tuition fee for their courses.
