Parties judged on policies

Letters

THE newly elected members of parliament have an important role in the formation of a new government.
We have seen many party candidates and Independents winning from throughout the country and many are talking about the next government and coalitions are being planned.
It is hard to say for certain what the end result will be, but the future of the political party and its policy now lies with the decisions of the individual candidates on which side he or she will take.
A good decisionmaker can serve the purpose of the political party and retain public trust and confidence. A party is judged by the policies it promotes, not by the candidates it has.
