Petrol, diesel and kerosene prices raised by 11t-14t

PRICES for petrol, diesel and kerosene in Port Moresby have increased by between 11toea and 14toea this month.
The price of petrol went up by 14toea to K3.43, compared to K3.29 last month. Diesel also rose by 11toea to K2.86 from K2.74.
Price of kerosene also went up by 14toea to K2.73 from K2.59 in the previous month.
The Independent Consumer and Competition Commission said the increases were attributed to the hikes in crude oil prices last month.
Commissioner and chief executive officer Paulus Ain said as part of the commission’s role in enforcement and compliance, officers would inspect all service stations to ensure that prices of petroleum products did not exceed the maximum prices approved by the commission.
