PAPUA New Guinea’s participation in the 48th Pacific Island Leaders Forum meeting will benefit the country in many ways, Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Rimbink Pato says.
The minister is attending the meeting in Apia, Samoa, which started yesterday and will end on Friday.  Prime Minister Peter O’Neill is expected at the heads of government meeting today.
Pato said that PNG would emphasise, during discussions with regional leaders, the importance of measures to boost the economic returns of member nations, conserving natural resources and providing employment towards the greater enhancement of the regional framework in the Pacific.
