PNG Power to send generator to Buka

National

PNG Power Limited will send a mobile generator to its Buka power station this month to boost the power supply for its customers there.
The generator  had encountered mechanical and electrical faults in 2014 while in Vanimo. It was decommissioned and shipped to Port Moresby.
The PNG Power mechanical and electrical teams did a major overhaul on it in the past three years.
They finally switched it on Friday July 14, 2017.
The generator can be moved to any center facing power generation issues.
PNG Power has been “load-shedding” in Buka since February. It assured customers in Buka that normal power supply would be restored.
