Police assault at Pari village

Letters

ON Aug 12 between noon and 3pm, policemen in uniform entered Pari village.
They went to a family home, called out an occupant and beat him up in full view of everyone else.
They did not show a search warrant or any other type of legal document.
Those who tried to help the victim were also assaulted and abused.
I used my mobile phone to video-record the incident, but the officers saw me and ordered me to hand over my phone.
I was dragged into the police vehicle and taken to Boroko police station where I was charged with obstructing justice.
How can video-recording someone being beaten up be classified as obstruction of justice?
Can the NCDC Metropolitan Police Superintendent explain to us what happened Pari village?
