He said Soto laid a formal complaint with Waigani police station who were investigating the matter.
Yawa appealed for information from people who may know of her whereabouts or had sighted her in the city or elsewhere.
He said they could also call him on his mobile numbers 7378 0928 or 7661 3236.
Yawa said a reward of K2000 was being offered for information leading to the woman’s arrest.
Soto told The National that he just wanted his wife back.
“She just took off with my money with no good reasons in the early hours of that Tuesday morning (Aug 30) leaving the door wide open. And from that day till now, she had not returned. I went around looking for her but could not find her. I just wanted her back, that’s all,” he said.
Yawa also appealed to the families of the woman to surrender her to police or send her back to her husband if they knew of her whereabouts.
