THREE men who allegedly sold a piece of land to seven different people between 2011 and 2016 have been told by the court that police need time to collate evidence.
Ulea Baeu, Keno Baeu and Uruba Baeu of Kilakila village in the National Capital District were alleged to have sold the land at Kaugere to seven different people on different dates in 2011, 2012 and 2016.
After reading the charges to them, Committal Court Magistrate Cosmas Bidar told them that police would have to complete their investigation and find evidence.
It is alleged that Ulea, Keno and Uruba sold a piece of land identified as Section 83 Lot 8 at Kaugere in NCD to seven different people for different amounts of money on different dates in 2011, 2012 and 2016. They allegedly received a total of K35,100.
Bidar told the court that the property was sold to seven different people.
“That portion of land is now being bulldozed by NCD for development purposes and those who have bought that land have lost their money,” Bidar said.
He ordered that matter return to court on Nov 3. Bails have been extended.
