Practise what you preach, PM

Letters, Normal

I REFER to your front page report “PM lashes out” (June 9) in which the PM attacked the NGOs, judiciary and media.
It is obvious our prime minister cannot accept criticisms.
He is hell bent in protecting the interest of foreigners that he personally invited regardless of what they want to do with our environment.
He does not care about the well-being of the rural people and 85% of our people live in the rural areas.
Mr Prime Minister, our land is our life and you, the environment minister and so-called advisers do not have any right to put any restrictions on how we use and safeguard our land.
I cannot believe this is the same PM who has spent so much of taxpayers’ money travelling the world attending and speaking on climate change.
And what do you know?
He did the exact opposite of what he preached to the world.
What a hypocrite.
I call on the PM to stop criticising and get more judges so that they can clear the backlog of cases he was complaining of.
Our journalists are our very own sons and daughters who were born, raised and educated here and they will live and die here.
Why should they go overseas when they have what they want on their own land?
The prime minister seems to crave for praises and respect.
But how can we praise him when what he is doing is contrary to what he preached to the rest of the world?
Just like everyone else, the PM has to work hard to earn it.
The NGOs are now using people’s power to fight against corruption in high office because this country is one of the most corrupt countries in the world.
I dare to say this government is the most corrupt in the history of PNG and the 73 MPs who voted for the amendments are the sadangs and longlongs of the haus tambaran.

Fed up with NA govt
