Primary school receives funding

THE Hambuke Primary School in the Numbo Local Level Government of Yangoru-Saussia district in East Sepik is one of the 30 provided funding to build new classrooms.
The school had a double celebration on Independence Day last Friday when they witnessed the opening of a four-in-one classroom and a new aid post.
The classroom was built at a cost of K175,000 while the aid post cost K50,000 allocated from the district service improvement programme funds.
These two new facilities will benefit the children and people of Avawia, Walemba, Nongori, Numindogum, Handra and Sekoro villages.
MP Richard Maru said he would continue to allocated funds for classrooms to ensure that children in the district enjoyed the best learning facilities.
Maru said children used to be taught in classrooms made of bush materials.
He also told the people all villages in the Numbo LLG would be linked by roads by the end of the year.
