THE Port Moresby Rugby League women’s semifinals start at the National Football Stadium tomorrow.
The first major semifinal is between minor premiers and reigning premiers — Royals and Paga Panthers.
In the elimination final Sisters and Souths lock horns to determine who would survive for the preliminary final against the loser of Royals and Paga.
These teams both boasting PNG Orchids train-on squad members — Waula sisters Vero and Freda, and Naomi Kaupa (Royals) while Paga Panthers have captain Janet Leme Michael, Vanessa Palme and young Elvina Aaron to fire up their team mates.
In the other game, Brenda Goro (Sisters) and Joan Kuman (Souths) are all set to lead their teams.
The duo were in peak form since the start of the PNG Orchids training sessions and should lead prominently.
The elimination final between Sisters and Souths will be physical as the ladies from Chimbu and Southern Highlands clash with a bit of football flair of their own.
It will be a big gamble for the PNG Orchids players as they are concerned about injuries that may affect their hopes of representing PNG in the 2017 World Cup.
