Port Moresby rugby league competition will begin their top eight finals this weekend starting today with the Under 20 division at the National Football Stadium Oval Two.
On Wednesday, the PRL management organised the captains run for the eight captains of the top teams, which included the men’s divisions and the women’s division.
PRL operation manager Meke Maino said there would not be any games on Sunday because the SP Hunters would be using the main field for the last home game against Wynnum Manly Seagulls.
Maino revealed that the senior men’s top eight teams were Paga Panthers, Kone Tigers Black Swan Royals, Brothers, Hohola Flies, Lalokau FM Hawks, Souths and Tarangau.
“The U-20 top eight teams are Hawks, West, Royals, Brothers, Kone Tigers, Tarangau, Souths and Hohola Flies,” Maino said.
He said for this season, there were few clubs who worked hard to bring their women’s and men’s teams up to their current positions now.
“Teams like Royals and Flies are matured teams in the competition.”
