Public Service Act reforms vital

Letters

THE Department of Personal Management should push for reforms in the Public Service Act and its structure to do away with political appointments done by MPs or governor.
The reason being these appointments are personal and create inconvenience in transparent leadership. Secondly these appointments can lead to corruption. This has been the case for Western for far too long and its consequences have been obvious to the public eye.
It is prudent to advertise these positions and select the most qualified rather than adopt a back door policy without merit.
This is an open suggestion for deliberation and its effectiveness to remove recycled leaders at the top notch who are recipients of this process.
