Road upgraded after years of neglect


COUNCILLORS of wards 12 and 13 of Nabak LLG in Nawaeb district, Morobe have expressed gratitude to a construction company for doing a good job in upgrading their roads.
Ward 13 councilor Maclay Esoke said that Bonop Construction company had upgraded their road to a better standard despite limited funding.
“Member for Nawaeb Gisuat Siniwin had funded the upgrading of this road at cost of K100,000 and the construction company did a great job.”
He said thousands of people lived in wards 12 and 13 but the road had been neglected over the years until the upgrading began two weeks ago.
Esoke told The National that it took him almost three years to source funding to upgrade the road because it had been neglected over the years.
“I thank my MP Gisuat Siniwin for this first upgarde.”
