PEOPLE using the highlands highway have been hit hard by the illegal roadblocks in Chimbu and Jiwaka.
The country cannot be held to ransom by these narrow-minded people who are taking the law into their hands.
The national election was not an exercise initiated by the governor of Enga or the Enga’s provincial administrator but it was a constitutional requirement carried out by the national government.
Every citizen must remember that all members of the disciplined forces – police, defence, correctional service and fire service – took an oath to serve the country.
When they are in uniform, they carry the name of Papua New Guinea and uphold the constitution of PNG.
Blocking the national highway is a criminal act and those doing it should be arrested.
