RUNNER-up of the Kundiawa-Gembogl open seat Chief Wagi Merimba demonstrated exemplary leadership to congratulate MP-elect Willie Gogl Onguglo openly in Kundiawa yesterday.
Merimba polled 12,798 votes and  independent candidate Onguglo 15,491 to be declared at the Dickson’s Oval counting centre.

Former Kundiawa-Gembogl MP, Merimba, thanked the people of Kundiawa-Gembogl, the electoral commission, joint security forces, Chimbu election  steering committee and everyone who played a part to ensure the completion of the election process in the electorate.
Merimba appealed to everyone to cooperate to develop the district and put all differences aside.
Onguglo, who unseated PNC candidate Tobias Kulang, said he would do his utmost to deliver services to  Kundiawa-Gembogl.
