Savings culture vital: Firm


KASI Wealth Management is providing awareness on superannuation-related matters as the marketing and sales agent for Nambawan Super Limited.
Managing director Frank Lokalyo said the company provided superannuation education awareness, pre-retirement counselling service, registration and contributions, and superannuation-related services and advice for Nambawan Super Ltd choice super/Eda Supa members.
The company ran a pre-retirement counselling workshop for employees of the Petroleum and Energy Department and police in Port Moresby.
It will ran a similar workshop on December 8 and 9.
“The savings culture among Papua New Guineans needs improvement with many of our people depending purely on their superannuation funds as the only option they rely heavily on upon retirement,” he said.
“If we teach people on ways to save their money at a much earlier age, it will be become a culture by the time they reach retirement age.”
