School marks anniversary

THE Gordon International School in Port Moresby celebrated its 50th anniversary of teaching and learning this year.
Principal Lucy Kula said she was grateful to see how far the school had come since 1969.
“We look back and appreciate the past successes of our school boards, principals, parents, students, teachers and support staff, and friends.
“Today we celebrate the present and inspire the future,” Kula said.
“We were and will be a family who will stay united and work together harmoniously.
“Our school motto fits in perfectly and that is to aim high in everything we do.”
Kula appreciated the contributions of past leaders and teachers who were behind the school’s success in the past 50 years.
“I would like to acknowledge the contribution of past principals. More important to us are our students, past and present – they are our champions,” she said.
