THE Callan Early Interventions School in Kagua, Mendi, has thanked Bank South Pacific for renovating a double classroom and a teachers’ office.
Complementing the improved learning environment was a new water tank and electric water pump, two new ablution blocks and an upgraded mini playground.
BSP Mendi branch manager Billy Veveloga said the project was chosen because the bank “believes in providing every opportunity for children whether disabled or abled to learn with the right facilities in place”.
“The renovated buildings and facilities, we hope, will go a long way in assisting the staff of the school to provide the best for our special children,” he said.
Callan Services persons with disabilities coordinator Mathew Laga said: “A new look to the school will help children living with disabilities to learn better in a condusive environment. The school was suspended for some time due to lack of maintenance and plumping system issues.
“We cannot thank BSP enough for this wonderful work that will give the school a fresh start.”
