National Capital District Governor Powes Parkop yesterday urged people living in a Port Moresby settlement not to look down on themselves and underestimate their capabilities.
Parkop said that when opening the Mountain Printing and Professional Service at Morata 2 settlement.
This service will provide an internet café, printing, photocopying and other office professional service.
Parkop said that development was reaching Morata and the settlers have to get ready to tap into the services such as electricity, communication and roads that the Government is bringing to them.
And so you have to start thinking big and start something small juts like what Jessy Karato (owner of Mountain Printing and Professional Service ) has started here at Morata 2. Parkop said whatever business activities they are setting up, they must set high goals.
“And that what this country needs. It needs champions to stand up.”
Meanwhile, Karato said that he had used his own funds to set up this service to cater for the needs of the settlers.
“They don’t have to spend bus fares go out to town to get such services.”
