Shot officer’s post on Facebook viral

Glen Jimmy, the young policeman from Banz, Jiwaka, who was killed in Wabag, Enga, on Saturday, posted on his Facebook wall about the hardships he faced during the election and how he was prepared to die for the country.
He and another policeman, Alex Kopa, of Chimbu and Sepik parentage, were shot dead while trying to control supporters of Kandep candidates Don Polye and Alfred Manase.
A third policeman, Mathew Kasap, from Madang, was injured.                                                                                                                                              Jimmy, who used the Facebook name Orlap Gepinz Kang, posted last Tuesday: “Being a cop is not a mistake.
“No matter what, I will always be a servant to the public.
“If you asleep I’m awake thinking of your health for tomorrow … and when you’re enjoying yourself with your loved ones, I’m standing static,  guarding your properties (boxes) in any weather condition.
“No matter how u criticise us, I will still give the best to serve my citizens of the nation PNG until I leave.
“I’m 4 U PNG and  die as PNG.”
