THE Southern Confederate named a strong senior and Under-20s men’s rugby league squad dominated by Port Moresby players.
The Southern Confederate sides will take part in the National Zone championship in Madang from Sept 15- 17.
Southern Confederate director Gwaibo Mairi said the Port Moresby Rugby League as the premier league in the region had the majority of players in the both squads.
Mairi said PRL Green and Gold had made the final of the trials last week and as a result had 16 players named in the senior squad.
The squads have started training at the National Football Stadium with the final 18-man teams for the seniors and U20s to be named next week.
