Southern squad named for zone champs

The Southern Confederate has confirmed the final 18-men squad for the Under-16 and U18 divisions of the national rugby league zone championship in Lae this month.
The U16 and U18 players were selected from various competing schools in the national schools rugby league programme.
The confederate, under director Gwaibo Mairi, also screened and appointed three team management staff each for the U16 and the U18 divisions.
For the U16 division, most players selected are primary school students attending, according to Mairi.
“For the U18s, most players are secondary school students and few are from primary schools.
U16 squad: Thomas Evi, Andrew Aika, Judah Rumbu, Joshua Paul, Evan English, Hercules Bruce, Maraga Udia, Junior Philip, Gaswin Gilbert, Jerol Noipo, Max Hangu, Ben Benny, Samuel Paia, Junior Philip, Kila James, Jacob Mula, Gibson Paul, Willie Bayang, Leo Don, Nathan Vaso; Coach: John Evi; Trainer: David Peter; Team  manager: A Koviromo.
Two will be omitted from this list to make the final 18-men squad.
U18 squad: Samuel Jacob, Danny Paul, Mea Heni, Peter John, Vaki Ako, Andickson Yamason, Raymond Wai, Sesi Kekea, Gibson Ebayo, Gospel Rilly, Allan Rau, Kaupa Wemin, Ambo TeineSammally Aibore, William Moses, Charlie Tom, Allen Denato, Baia Haraka; Coach: Simon Fofa; Trainer: Mr Dongari; Team manager: Mr Gende.
