Southern squad named for zone champs

The Southern Confederate has confirmed the final 18-men squad for the Under-16 and U18 divisions of the national rugby league zone championship in Lae this month.
The U16 and U18 players were selected from various competing schools in the national schools rugby league programme.
The confederate, under director Gwaibo Mairi, also screened and appointed three team management staff each for the U16 and the U18 divisions.
For the U16 division, most players selected are primary school students attending, according to Mairi.
“For the U18s, most players are secondary school students and few are from primary schools.

Two will be omitted from this list to make the final 18-men squad.
