Spread development fairly

Letters

An article titled “K386m loan for highway” (The National, Oct 10) prompted me to write. While it is good to see the government maintaining national assets such as the Highlands Highway, it would be good if fair consideration is given to other national highways too. One of them is the Sepik Highway which was upgraded almost 20 years ago and is now turning into a bush track. Those who have been there would know what I mean. Please spread development equally throughout the country instead of giving more consideration to one region and neglect other regions. Equally, they all contribute to nation-building and the economy of the country.
