Stay away from PDA issues

Letters

THE incumbent chairman of the board of management of Porgera Development Authority (PDA), Aken Puluku, has raised concerns on some purported Port Moresby-based landowner associations to strike on any contentious issues that  suit them, mainly to seek media attention and to advance their publicity.
Such acts bring not only fake recognition but bad motives of the people behind it. The only recognised association in Porgera is the Porgera Landowners Association and as far as I am concerned, there is no recognised landowner association for the Mt Kare landowners as it is not mining yet.
I urge people to show their support in whatever action we intend to take or others intend to take relating to PDA matters.
On the same token, I urge Porgera Mt Kare Young Generation Association not to mislead the people of Porgera on issues which are not related to your  association.
I further extend my call to those who have expressed concerns or raised issues relating to PDA matters that you must leave PDA matters to its board of management. The PDA board of management is made up of diligent and competent persons who have the expertise to drive PDA forward.
