Stone’s taekwondo teams up with Hope for seminar

STONE’S Taekwondo Academy in conjunction with the Brad Hope Martial Arts Academy in Cairns, Australia, will conduct a Hapkido, mixed martial arts and Taekwondo seminar in Port Moresby from Dec 16-18.
The two-day workshop is expected to be attanded by Stone’s taekwondo clubs around the country.
Clubs from Central, Gulf, Western, Alotau, Goroka, Kundiawa, Jiwaka, Wabag, Yangoru, Madang, Wewak, Kimbe, Bialla, Lihir, Namatanai, Kavieng, Kokopo and Buka are expected to send representatives to the training seminar.
Martial arts instructor master Jamuga Stone said the seminar would be an eye opener for serious martial artists and enthusiasts.
Master Hope has a 7th dan black belt in Hapkido and Taekwondo as well as a 3rd dan in Brazilian Jiujutsu and trains mixed martial arts fighters.
He will be assisted by master Stone, who has a 6th dan black belt in Taekwondo and 3rd dan black belt in Kempo Arnis.
The formation of the Papua New Guinea International Mixed Martial Arts Association (PNGIMMA) will be announced during the seminar.
This will set the stage for the for the first international cage fight to be staged in Port Moresby in April, 2017.
