STUDENTS across the Pacific will participate in an annual clean-up programme aimed to help them be responsible of their schools and communities.
These Pacific Island nations include PNG, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Cook Islands will host their 2016 BSP Go Green Annual Clean-up on Friday.
Bank South Pacific has an on-going Go Green calendar, which includes supporting schools and community groups in clean-up activities and the bank provides bags, gloves and merchandise to support the event.
With this year’s theme ‘‘Recycle, Reuse, Respect’, Bank South Pacific’s corporate sponsorship manager Rosemary Mawe said: “We teach children to be responsible and we lead them on a clean-up of their schools and community
“BSP is proud to be a part of the community and will continue to promote the Go Green message to encourage communities and children to respect and keep our streets litter free and be responsible for their own litters.
“The reward for everyone will be a cleaner community and students will learn to be more responsible in caring for the environment and keeping it clean.”
