PEOPLE’s Progress Party president Brown Sinamoi has thanked supporters for supporting the party candidates.
Sinamoi thanked the people of Wewak in East Sepik for electing Kevin Isifu who defeated Correctional Services Minister Jimmy Simatab.
Sinamoi, a former Speaker of Parliament, said the PPP was a national party with members representing the four regions.
He thanked the people of East New Britain for electing Nakikus Konga as new the governor.
Sinamoi said that during these difficult financial and economic times, the country needed steady and experienced leadership.
Sinamoi said the parliamentarians would be captained by former prime minister and New Ireland Governor Sir Julius Chan.
