Talasea produces top public servants: Muthuvel

WEST New Britain Governor Sasindran Muthuvel says Talasea has produced some elite citizens who hold senior positions in the Government.
He said this during the handing over of a truck to Talasea High School last week.
The truck will help transport students to and from school.
Muthuvel said the school was established following a visit by Prime Minister Peter O’Neill to open the Kavugara Barracks in 2013.
Muthuvel commended Talasea LLG president Victor Narere and the board of management led by Joe Simo for ensuring that the school was established despite the limited resources. Another high school under the same umbrella is Aiboki High School in the Kaliai Kove LLG.
“Talasea is known for producing elite citizens who are holding high positions in (government) departments in Port Moresby,” Muthuvel said.
“We are ready to fill that gap during our era when our time comes.
“Hence, it is our priority to do the best we can with the limited resources we have to ensure our children receive the quality education they deserve.”
The school, which started last year, caters for students from Kilu village in ward two to Ganeboku village in ward 10.
The school truck will greatly assist students who sometimes miss classes due to the distance and lack of transport.
Talasea MP Francis Marus funded the construction of an administration block and purchased a vehicle.
