Quality education needs learning and teaching materials, according to Treid Pacific manager Ken Raga.
Speaking at the presentation of stationeries to the Bavaroko Primary School in National Capital District, Raga said quality education would not happen without learning materials.
“Only then we will know that quality education takes place.”
He said education was a collective effort and everybody has to put their hands together to make it work.
The education department’s first assistant secretary for Provincial Services, Maxton Essy said the materials enhanced teaching and learning in the classroom.
He commended the Government for initiating the tuition fee-free education policy and Treid Pacific for doing a good job in delivering the materials.
“The core business of the Department of Education is to provide quality education for all children in Papua New Guinea because we know that quality education will make a difference,” said Essy.
Homoka Boge of NCD Education office said the education department could not do things alone  and worked in partnership with parents, boards of management and the community.
Boge commended Treid Pacific for their commitment to support education in NCD.
“Treid Pacific has been in NCD for quite some time and has been promoting quality assistance in providing materials in form of exercise books, pencil, rulers etc.”
He also commended the head teacher for Bavaroko Primary School, Cathrine Moresi for attending to the needs of students and teachers.
The materials were given to Bavaroko Primary School on credit and the school will pay Treid Pacific when it receives its next lot of TFF funding.
