Test for Lavukoloa’s journey to grand final

Sports

Lavukoloa’s journey to the grand final in their first year in NCD Volleyball Association will be put to the test at Taurama Aquatic and Indoor Stadium tomorrow.
The Gereka men will be up against Jamas in the men’s premier division and Ela Motors in men’s A grade preliminary sudden death finals. Winners will secure the second grand final seat and face Scorpions in the men’s premier and Jamas in the men’s A grade division.
Jamas and Lavukoloa play similar structures, running combinations inside and have strong finishers.
Poka Ai will be Jamas’ hit man and is expected to dominate  the offence at the net while Lavukoloa’s Jeffery Charlie should stretch the Jamas defence with his cuts.
Jamas setter Kala Kila’s skills and experience should give his side the upper hand over his opponents.
However, it will boil down to good ball control in reception and general passing followed by consistent finishes that will enable the end result and the winner will face Scorpions next Saturday in the grand finale.
Good team chemistry gives Lavukoloa the upper hand over Ela Motors in the men’s A grade division.
The Toyota dealers must improve and ensure a smooth flow is maintained in their game in the men’s A grade to book a grand final berth.
