There are sabbaths and there is Sabbath

Letters

THERE are different sabbaths in the Bible.
The seventh-day Sabbath is the one that God blessed, sanctified and set aside for a holy purpose (Genesis 2:2-3).
This Sabbath was later included in the moral law, (Genesis 20:8-11).
Other sabbaths are ceremonial only, and are part of the ceremonial laws written by Moses, often described as laws of Moses, handwritings of Moses or ordinances which were formed as part of Jewish customs and traditions. Leviticus chapters 22 to 25 listed many of these sabbaths, feasts and festivals.
These ceremonial laws and practices dealt mainly with the sin offering and were the shadows of the real sacrifice that is Jesus Christ the Lamb of God.
All these laws and practices were nailed to the cross when Jesus was crucified (Colossians 2:14-17).  But the seventh-day Sabbath remains today (Hebrews 4:9-10) and will remain forever (Isaiah 66:22-23).
All true Christians who are saved by grace through faith will obey God, and not rebel against Him. Those who have a rebellious spirit should test and see if the spirit they have is from God (1 John 4:1).
