Trio to undertake studies in Japan

THREE students from PNG will be studying under the research course in Japan, thanks to the government of Japan.
Fairlilyne Maria Aiwa, Roberth Perth Lembo and Daniel Dami Nelson will be studying at the Shizouka University, Waseda in Japan.
Japanese Ambassador  to Papua New Guinea Satoshi Nakajima encouraged the recipients to not only broaden their knowledge and skills, but also to understand Japan better and make friends with Japanese people.
Aiwa will enrol in the Graduate School of Law while Lembo will enrol in the Graduate School of Asia Pacific Studies.
Nelson will enrol in the Graduate School of Science.
All three will start their studies this month and completed it by March 2019.
They departs for Japan on today.
“When returning after study, you can share your experiences with your countrymen and join JARA to continue to serve as a bridge between PNG and Japan to develop relations and friendship between the two countries,” Nakajima said=.
Since the inception of the Japanese government-sponsored scholarship programme, more than 164 Papua New Guineans have benefited and many are now prominent leaders, professionals and experts in different organisations and government departments.
The scholarship for 2018 will be available this month under the following programmes, research (postgraduates), undergraduate and specialised training.
