TWO men were killed when a hand grenade exploded at Bilimoia village in Kainantu district, Eastern Highlands, last week.
Provincial police commander Superintendent Alex N’Drasal said Lovel Nomasi allegedly pulled the pin of the hand grenade and threw it at his father and three others inside a house.
He said Nomasi was angry because his father had re-married after his mother passed away.
N’Drasal identified the deceased as Perina Nomasi (father), 48, and Jafireso Avio, 37, both of Bilimoia village. The two other people that were in the house were Stefeni Roma, 16, and Orunka Penal, 19, also from Bilimoia village.
They are recovering at the Goroka Provincial Hospital.
Police said Nomasi had been living with his uncle after his mother died.
N’Drasal said Nomasi,  who fled after the incident, surrendered to police in Kainantu.
