United out to maintain lead in hockey competition

COMPETITION leaders, United will be out to maintain their position when they face Seagulls in the Port Moresby men’s hockey challenge on Sunday.
Currently leading the men’s competition on 32 points, they must beat the Seagulls to maintain the No.1 spot this  weekend.
United are leading with 29 points while Sunam are on second spot with 26 points. Bladez are on 23 points while Bismark Gold are on 20 points.
Led by captain Andrew Raoma, United have top players in Keith Raoma, who is the leading goal scorer, Mark Solien, David Tapo and Manly Kekesan.
Nothing must be taken away from Seagulls as they have the Ilumpui tribe to lead the team.
Barry, Michael and Vincent Ilumpui have been the mainstays of the club with support from Quinten Chaslon, Augustine Chaslon and Ignatius Pou.
Also on Sunday, Bismark Green should have a good match up with Bladez.
Tomorrow, Sunam Black will have a hard time against Bismark Gold while the Sunam Gold should come out winner over Wanderers.
In the women’s matches, Wanderers should beat Golden Eagles while Sunam are set to outsmart Bladez On Sunday, Seagulls should easily glide past United while MVP should beat Bismark.
Meanwhile, the Port Moresby Hockey Association executive would like to meet all club representatives tomorrow at 10am during Pikinini Hoki.
The agenda to discuss includes the finals and other business.
