A LONG time member of Pangu Pati joined the Christian Democratic Party (CDP) at the party’s Chimbu branch launching last week in Kundiawa.
Party president Dr Banare Bun and parliamentary leader Kelly Naru at the party’s launching, welcomed Sir Kobale Kale into the party.
Kale is about 70 years old and comes from Dinga village in Sinasina Yongumugl district. Kale told The National that he joined Pangu in 1968 and went into the House of Assembly after winning the Sinasina seat in 1972.
He was appointed to the parliamentary permanent committee at the House of Assembly and was Minister for Education.
“I left Pangu Pati and joined CDP based on the theme of being servant to the people to deliver services.”
He said Christian Democratic Party has a principle based on working together in partnership with the people, the churches and the Government to deliver basic services to the rural areas.
