Victims should lodge complaints at stations: Commander

PEOPLE who become police victims should lodge complaints at the stations instead of going to the media, East Sepik’s provincial police commander Supt Peter Philip says.
Philip said police do not need to get concerns or complaints against police officers from media reports.
Philip said this yesterday following queries from the media on number of incidents in East Sepik which alleged to have involved some members from the Royal PNG Constabulary
I cannot act on media reports,” he said. “I want families and victims to come and see me. We, police have our own investigations. Once reports are brought into the office I’ll go to media and report facts.”
