THE Vision City management welcomed US Ambassador Catherine Ebert-Gray and Ambassador at large for Global Women’s Issues Catherine Russell and officials from the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) and Australian High Commission to the Vision City Mega Mall last Sunday.
Vison City marketing manager Maureen Esta said the management had given its guests the welcome kit wallet and small gifts from the mall management.
Russell and other officials with members of the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) visited the award-winning “Just play” photo exhibition displayed at the mall.
“Just Play” photo exhibition was set up at the Vision City new wing.
Franck Castilio, the chief executive officer for OFC Foundation, led the ambassadors around the exhibition booth and explained the significance of the photos.
He also thanked the Vision City management for their support.
The exhibition developed by the OFC as part of the Australian-supported “Just Play” programme highlighted that sport was a vehicle to demonstrate fairness, teamwork, non-violent conflict resolution and equity between girls and boys.
‘Just Play’ is a programme in PNG and across the Pacific.
The programme, according to officials, has reached more than 210,000 children across 11 Pacific nations over seven years and it deals with important issues including gender equality, disability, health and education.
