Vocational centres share successes, challenges

Youth & Careers

A TECHNICAL vocational (Tvet) workshop was held recently to share some of the challenges and successes experienced by 10 vocational centres throughout Papua New Guinea.
The Tvet programme, under the Department of Education school operations division, facilitated the workshop in collaboration with the European Union Human Resource Development Programme 2 (HRDP2) in Madang last month.
The 10 centres are located in East Sepik, Morobe, East New Britain, Enga, Eastern Highlands and the National Capital District.
The workshop witnessed the presentations of the 10 strategic plans including successes and challenges the 10 vocational
centres experienced during the implementation of HRDP2.
The participants from the centres were grateful that the workshop had given them the opportunity to talk about their learning experiences gained during the development of their strategic plans.
The 10 vocational centres pledged to co-operate and implement the current programme as well as its next phase.
