The National ran an eye witness picture of this section of Mendi town market recently but nothing has been done about it. The authorities must address this concern. Mendi Town Market is filled with rubbish and it stinks. The Seventh-day Adventist church members took part in a clean-up exercise from 6am to 8pm in May. While the new Mendi Market is still under construction, the town authority allowed farmers and vendors to use the bus stop recreational area. It is a major concern as rubbish is piled up everywhere and people are not responsible for their rubbish.
