While most of us are caught up in the election frenzy that is sweeping our nation at the moment, some areas and people need basic government services. They are struggling to see the light of development. Accessing government services continue to pose a major challenge for them. The need for a good road is one such challenge. This picture supplied by officers from a bank, who recently travelled to Wantoat in the hinterlands of Markham in Morobe, to conduct business reveals how our rural roads have deteriorated overtime. Vehicles are finding it difficult to travel in such appalling road conditions. Often public transport owners, in the hope of keeping their worn out vehicles in operation, pass the buck to the people by way of increased transport fares. We hope such road conditions are promptly addressed by the new MPs that are elected into office after this election.
